School Librarian's Service Skills

One of the school librarian task is a service skill, here are some service skills to improve their professional

  • Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of users and a variety of ethnic, racial, and language backgrounds.
  • Training and teaching skills:
    1. They teach skills and strategies students need to learn and achieve
    2. They are partner in educating students, developing curricular and integrating resources into teaching and learning.
    3. They teach the skills students need to become effective users of ideas and information.
    4. They seek, select, evaluate, and utilize electronic resources and tools and instruct teachers and students in how to use them.
  • Understanding of the cognitive development and learning styles of users of all ages and capabilities.
  • Ability to design and implement new services.
