One of the school librarian task is a service skill, here are some service skills to improve their professional
- Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of users and a variety of ethnic, racial, and language backgrounds.
- Training and teaching skills:
- They teach skills and strategies students need to learn and achieve
- They are partner in educating students, developing curricular and integrating resources into teaching and learning.
- They teach the skills students need to become effective users of ideas and information.
- They seek, select, evaluate, and utilize electronic resources and tools and instruct teachers and students in how to use them.
- Understanding of the cognitive development and learning styles of users of all ages and capabilities.
- Ability to design and implement new services.
